Green Day cancel all 2012 shows due to Billie Joe’s health

[DS]: Green Day have cancelled their remaining commitments in 2012.

The band have confirmed that they will not embark on a planned club tour or perform any live television sets until 2013, following health concerns regarding frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.

They have also announced plans to postpone their January and February 2013 dates, while the singer makes a full recovery.

“Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern,” Mike Dirnt stated on their official website.

“We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon.”
