Noel Gallagher is taking a break & speaks on Oasis reunion

[DS]:  Noel Gallagher has slammed his former band’s third album Be Here Now.

Speaking to XFM, the singer explained that Oasis rushed the release of new material following the success of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? and vowed that he would not make the same mistake with his new group High Flying Birds.

“I’m taking a well-earned break after this,” he said. “Why mess with brilliance? I’d only f**k it up.

“Look what it did to the aftermath of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?. S**t on it. Be Here Now?”

Gallagher has previously described Oasis’s 1997 LP as “the sound of a bunch of guys, on coke, in the studio, not giving a f***k”.

Asked if he’d consider reuniting Oasis, Gallagher told Nation Radio: “Not even if all the starving children in the world depended on it.

“I know it’s the done thing these days and what people do, but it’s not what I do.

“I know bands reform and ‘They’re bigger than they ever were’ and ‘They’re more successful than they ever were’, but Oasis were one of the biggest bands in the world.”

He added: “At any given time, we were one of the five biggest bands in the world.

“We were the biggest thing to come out of England in 35 years. Why would we do it? For the fans? Nobody ever gave a s**t about the fans in that band. It’s done.”
