Mel C says Spice Girls reunion ‘was weird’

[DS]: Mel C has admitted that the Spice Girls’ live comeback at the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony was a “weird” experience.

After the reunion to promote their Viva Forever! musical, Mel C joined Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel B to perform a medley of ‘Wannabe’ and ‘Spice Up Your Life’ at the Olympic Park.

“It was weird being together,” Mel C told Fabulous Magazine.

“We hadn’t all been together since we finished the tour. We’d seen each other, but in splinter groups.”

She added: “There’s been a lot written about Melanie [Brown] and Victoria’s relationship, but we’ve all had certain issues with different members of the group at different times.

“We can be really blunt with each other and sometimes that can be upsetting. We had issues, but we get over them.”
