Rihanna making ‘stadium anthems’ for next album

[DS]: Rihanna is said to be recording ‘stadium anthems’ for her next album.

Songwriter Claude Kelly, whose tracks include Miley Cyrus’s ‘Party In The USA’ and Jessie J’s ‘Domino’, is working on the project with the likes of David Guetta, Sia, Harmony and Stargate.

“Rihanna’s a worldwide superstar at this point and she’s performing in stadiums and arenas now, so I wanted songs that reflected her audience,” Kelly told Kempire Radio.

“When I was in London she was performing at a festival in front of like 30,000 to 40,000 people. So I didn’t want small songs that only worked on radio, so I tried to do anthemic big stadium-themed songs.”

Rihanna is currently preparing her seventh studio record, collaborating with Labrinth and various British producers.

The LP is rumoured to be due out later this year, with the singer already confirming plans for a2013 world tour.
