Jay-Z told Rita Ora to learn from Coldplay

[DS]: Rita Ora has revealed that her mentor Jay-Z advised her to watch and learn from Coldplay.

The singer admitted that her Roc Nation boss insisted she study the way frontman Chris Martin commands a stage without the use of backing dancers and props.

Speaking to GQ magazine about what kind of guidance Jay-Z has given her, Ora said: “The best advice he gave was, ‘Have you seen Chris Martin perform? It’s literally just him on a stage. He rocks it out’.

“Jay told me, ‘You don’t need dancers and stuff around you’.”

Ora recently confessed that she doesn’t mind being compared to Rihanna as she admires her hardcore “work ethic and discipline”.

The star’s new single ’How We Do (Party)’ is available to download now in the US and is released in the UK on August 12.
