Blur open to projects such as a film score

[DS]: Damon Albarn has revealed that he would be interested in making a movie soundtrack with Blur.

The singer-songwriter explained that Blur are unlikely to produce a full studio album in the near future, but would be open for a special one-off project such as a film score.

While saying that the upcoming Hyde Park gigs are likely to be their “last” for a long while, he told The Sun: “But that doesn’t mean it’s the end of Blur.

“If someone wanted us to do an album for a film I’d definitely be interested in something like that. So that’s the offer.”

Blur recently unveiled two brand new tracks - ‘The Puritan’ and ‘Under the Westway’ – as stand-alone singles.

The band will play London’s Hyde Park on August 12 to coincide with the end of the London 2012 Olympics with support from New Order, The Specials and Bombay Bicycle Club.
